I have no external peripherals attached to MacBook Pro, so that is also excluded.Īnything that appears on this list needs immediate attention. Before my warranty rand out Apple changed quite a few pieces hardware, so I am excluding hardware issues. So what is the issue? Apple Support needs to respond, since I see a lot of people complaining about the same issue (one complaint was with identical MacBook Pro), for this reason I think it needs to be addressed. I tried few things, uninstalling few apps, and finally I reverted back to backup from March od 2018, before the High Sierra update, no reboots, but as soon as I updated it started all over again. What does it do when you close the cover or put in sleep mode, it freezes (one can hear a loud fan, frozen screen) before shutdown but more often than not it’s just a random shutdown to black screen.

My MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inch, Late 2013) running High Sierra macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 (17F77) after being put in sleep mode or closing the cover, keeps randomly shutting down, where a power up is required.
